Three dog night was among the best rock bands of the 60s and 70s and naturally is one of their very best cds. Three dog night s songwriting talents produced a somewhat mediocre album here save for their cover of hoyt axton s joy to the world there aren t any really memorable melodies off this album. Chuck negron does a magical version of sunlight by jesse colin young. The cd also has two top 10 hits the effervescent joy to the world that makes you want to sing along and the haunting liar.

Great songs with quality sounds just as good or even better than the vinyl records. Get it if you can find a good cheap copy but it s not one to pay a premium price for. 4 4 out of 5 stars 35 ratings. A haunting love ballad.
