If this doesn t remove the white marks completely then you may need to bring out the big guns. Use distilled water and wipe down the floor where the white marks are most prominent. Now that the floor is clear and no moulding is present locate the wall that has the tongue side of the laminate flooring. If your laminate was glued use the floor scraper and heat gun to remove any residue stuck to the floor.

Remove the first plank in the next row by first using the float to disengage the end. Then vacuum all the dirt and dust to clean the surface thoroughly. Do this for all your flooring occasionally to clear away any grime build up. White marks on laminate flooring can form from water shoe soles pet tracks or build up from cleaning products.

Start removing the flooring at one of the walls the materials runs parallel to use the gap at the edge to get your fingers or tool under the first board lift the first board 30 to 45 degrees and pull it away from the second piece continue until the first row of laminate is removed and then proceed to the second and additional rows. After removing that row remove one or two more in the same way so that you have room to stand on the subfloor. Holding the heat gun too close to flammable materials can ignite a fire.
